Valentina was founded with a rebellious spirit and a lofty objective: to offer customisable designer jewellery at a revolutionary price, while leading the way for socially conscious businesses.
Every idea starts with a problem. Ours was simple: jewellery is too expensive. When we were students, a friend of ours lost her charm bracelet. It meant the world to her and she wanted to replace it immediately, but as it had been collected piece by piece over the years, she hadn’t realised just how much it had cost. The cost of replacing the whole bracelet was so high that it was out of the question.
We couldn’t understand why prices were so high that people had to collect the components piece by piece. It turns out there was a simple explanation. The jewellery market is dominated by a few companies that have been able to keep prices artificially high, while reaping huge profits.
We started Valentina as an alternative.
By circumventing traditional retail channels and engaging with customers directly, we’re able to provide higher-quality, better-looking jewellery at a fraction of the going price. Allowing people in many cases to build a complete personalised necklace for around the price of a single charm from one of the major high-street brands.
We believe that buying jewellery should be easy and fun. It should leave you happy and with money still in your pocket.
Valentina lockets help people capture their precious moments and share them with others – to celebrate them together.
